MAT 25:36-  I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.

Greetings to all in the name of Jesus. We are ChristSong; a music and teaching prison ministry based in Western North Carolina. We know that this is God’s Ministry. We are humbled and privileged to know that He uses us; especially our past and our pain. What the enemy intended for evil, God uses for good; touching hearts for His glory.

This is a prison ministry that God developed using my past experiences;  I was released from prison in 1995 and  a short 2 years later in 1997, I was called and led to go back into prisons with the wonderful Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I am a true native of these “walled cities”.  I know and speak their language. I have sat where they sit, I’ve eaten what they eat, and have waited for mail and visits that never came. The inmates recognize that through Christ, I am beating the odds. God has truly changed my heart and my life.

Through His ministry, we have a singing trio called ChristSong. Along with our testimonies, the Holy Spirit uses our music to soften the hearts of the inmates; offering them a new hope….the hope that only a life with Jesus can bring. One thing I’ve learned, life as a Christian is never boring.  When He sets us free, we are free indeed!

I think you will agree that our ministry is different, but God uses us in a mighty way to spread the Gospel, to see souls saved and to call Christians to “Arise and Be Counted” and become His “Soldiers of the Cross”.  There is no rehabilitation like being born again in Christ. It is our mission to lead those in prison to a life-changing encounter with the One and Only Living God. PRAISE GOD FOR HIS TENDER MERCIES!

Although this is primarily a Prison Ministry, we have found when sharing our vision with churches we are there to  encourage His People through song, testimony and Bible teaching.  Many times while singing we see sitting in the pews hurting and wounded brothers and sisters, living in their own “Walls of Shame”.  Some have never truly accepted our Father’s forgiveness. They know they are forgiven, but just can’t seem to forgive themselves. Some have become complacent, never knowing their true purpose, unable to find the peace and joy that comes with doing what God has called them to do.  Then there are some we see living in active addiction and sin. God uses our ministry to prick their hearts calling them to repentance. In our travels we have been privileged to see many Commitments and Re-commitments to our Lord Jesus Christ. We have learned that where He sends us, He most definitely has a purpose.  We have been taught to walk with all boldness and confidence knowing He is at work whether we see it or not.
